Job Description

Our long standing family business (52 years) of Consulting Engineers seeks an enthusiastic P/T administration person (Thursday & Friday) with experience of general office duties including typing/answering telephone/filing and to dovetail with our other staff.
The position is part time (2 days/week and holiday cover) and is permanent subject to an initial trial to develop rapport and to be inducted on the work.
Hours 08.45am to 5.15pm (Thursday & Friday - 30 mints lunch)
A confident bright, self-motivated. helpful, attentive and committed individual capable of working unsupervised in our small busy office covering a range of PC/email/typing/administration.
This role involves general office tasks including typing (technical) letters/emails and reports (many in existing formats), answering telephone, taking detailed messages with a pleasant/friendly helpful telephone manner.


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Similar previous office experience and attention to detail is essential. Experience in telephone speaking with Clients and Contractors efficiently in a business environment is essential. Good liaising with office colleagues, providing office support and help to the Directors for whom you will be working, dovetailing on work/general office items with our admin lady who works 3-4 days per week (alternately), help improve our office filing system, keep office and files neat and tidy.
