Job Description
  • Review our design drawings to assure build ability & Commission ability, during tender stage, and whilst on site.
  • Review & co-ordinate the plant and equipment technical submissions.
  • Carry out regular site inspections to ensure correct installation methods are being used, correct equipment is being installed, and the systems are being installed as per co-ordination / construction drawings, assisting site teams as required.
  • Review and monitor construction programme to ensure that sequence and installation durations tie in with programme, and highlight any issues relating to this.
  • Produce Commissioning Programme and review programmes produced by others
  • Witness testing & commissioning
  • Our final quality inspections
  • Assist in final handover of project to client
  • M&E tender appraisals
  • Assist in procurement of sub-contractors
  • Preconstruction responsibilities to include vetting of sub-contractors tender documents against ER’s
  • Responsibility for Health & Safety in line with BAM policies
  • Project planning in conjunction with Project Planner and Project Manager
  • Prepare and manage the sites ‘Project Management Plan’
  • Monitor and review sub-contractors against pre-construction / installation programmes
  • Provide written monthly report to Project Manager
  • Chair two weekly rolling progress meetings with principle sub-contractors
  • Manage / maintain records of all sub-contractors working drawings
  • Manage requests for information
  • Maintain daily site diary
  • Carry out Quality Control inspections for the entire services installation
  • Ensure testing and commissioning is carried out and witnessed accordingly
  • Ensure ‘as installed drawing’ and O&M Manual are completed / issued
  • Operate systems and procedures in line with BAM standard protocol
  • Management of projects defects / aftercare

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Demonstrable experience within a similar role. Minimum relevant qualification to HNC, HND level. Experience in using Microsoft packages. Good communication skills and the ability to work within a team environment or as an individual with minimum supervision. Assertiveness but with tact and diplomacy. Self-motivated. Ability to work alone and unsupervised. It may be necessary to be involved in more than one site at a time therefore excellent organizational skills will be required. Some travelling will be required.
