Job Description

The position requires a resourceful individual, can work autonomously and demonstrates excellent follow-through capacity. The candidate must be a team player capable of managing multiple priorities with close attention to detail.

  • Provides support to colleagues of the Global Licensing & Account Support Team to facilitate and accelerate the adoption of licenses as follows:
  • Manage deployment of letter writing licensing campaigns in close cooperation with Global Licensing Managers.
  • Monitor follow-up communication with existing and potential licensees with Global Licensing & Account Support Team.
  • Support regional Global Licensing Managers to monitor license renewals by sending reminder letters to expiring licensees.
  • Support completion of licensing requests by collecting relevant agreement preferences information from potential licensees and preparing executable requests.
  • Provide administrative support to assist closure of patent license agreements. This notably includes creating and updating licensing contacts, products, and other agreement preferences in Via’s CRM system based upon input from Global Licensing Managers and licensees.
  • Support Global Licensing Managers with agreements-related processes such as corporate changes, assignments, or terminations of agreements.
  • Build and maintain close working relationships with colleagues at Via HQ and Via’s other global offices, including the Via Contract Team, to ensure the coherence of licensing processes and compliance with agreement generation administrative procedures.
  • Provide support to Via Legal and Via Compliance with compliance activities or other enforcement activities worldwide as necessary.
  • Provide assistance and administrative support to Via Legal as needed. Examples include assisting with input and editing of letters and letter templates on behalf of Via Legal.
  • Provide other support services as directed by any member of the via management team.
  • Regularly report on the progress of activities.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Service mindset and commitment to deliver best services to colleagues and customers alike. At least two years of direct experience working with document management systems. Autonomous, self-driven, and capable of excellent follow-through. Paralegal experience at a law firm or corporation with experience in the intellectual property field would be a plus. Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills in English are essential. Proficiency in at least another language would be a plus. Track record of working successfully in a team environment with a diverse group of technical and business staff in a multicultural environment.
