Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to join and support the growth of a proven organisation that has already made a real community, environmental, and business impact. You will have the opportunity to work with major retailers and food businesses in Ireland to develop innovative solutions for surplus food and maximise impact.

  • The core element of this role is to act as an account manager for at least one major retailer and a portfolio of supply chain partners with the overall ambition to increase the amount of food rescued:
  • Manage overall relationship with assigned food industry partners to increase engagement, ensure retention and satisfaction
  • Understand food industry partner needs and identify opportunities to grow impact
  • Manage food industry partner needs and expectations
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure delivery of commitments made to food industry partners
  • Track and measure progress against agreed KPIs and provide updates to both internal and external teams
  • Maintain accurate records to keep track of relationship history and updates/renewals
  • Constantly working to improve our service:
  • Identify new opportunities to improve the service and processes.
  • Work with company in-house technology team to plan, develop, test and implement new features and improvements.
  • Support our growth through outreach and New Business Development onboarding new food industry partners.
  • Develop proposals and presentations for new business opportunities
  • Generate leads and follow up with new business opportunities
  • Work closely with new food industry partners to develop and deliver trials and rollouts
  • Work closely with the Head of Irish Partnerships and team to support the delivery of our strategic objectives in Ireland.
  • Travel within Ireland will be required on occasion
  • Other duties as required per business needs

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Outstanding written, oral, and client-facing communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, time management, organisational skills, project management skills, and the ability to create good working partnerships with multiple stakeholders, both internally and externally
  • Ability to recognise and address high priorities and when necessary link these elements to overall strategy
  • Capability to work autonomously to manage delegation of tasks to cross-functional teams and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience in strategic planning and risk management
  • Full, clean driver’s licence required
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to make effective decisions ‘on the spot’
  • IT literacy and experience working on IT projects
  • Data-driven and metrics focused
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams
  • 3+ years experience in a project management, client-facing role, or account management experience with diverse external stakeholders, and previous experience in an SME preferred.
  • Experience managing a team or working across multiple teams
  • Previous experience within the food industry is preferred but not essential
  • Full, clean driver’s licence required as some travel to all of our locations and suppliers may be required
