Job Description
  • To operate a computerized accounting system
  • To process and record invoice payments, raise cheques and arrange payment
  • To assist in the administration of all travel and subsistence expenses and maintain appropriate records
  • To raise and record invoices and monitor payments received
  • To record and receipt incoming cash and remittances, payment to bank
  • To assist in the preparation of financial reports and financial accounting information, including bank reconciliation
  • To assist with maintaining a petty cash account
  • To contribute to the provision of a comprehensive information and advice service to help provide organizations with accurate, current and relevant information.
  • To maintain and update records of changes in Board membership and communicate with Companies House and Inland Revenue as necessary
  • To carry out photocopying, printing, mailshot preparation, document collation and related administrative duties as required
  • To produce letters, minutes, reports etc.
  • To support the administration of events and meetings as directed, including booking venues, caterers and attractions and encouraging members’ participation
  • To assist with the management of bookings for Community Buildings
  • To support sub/working groups, taking minutes, etc. where appropriate
  • To open, date stamp, sort and record incoming mail and ensure outgoing mail is franked/stamped, recorded and posted.
  • Volunteer placement checks – contacting organizations and updating the database.
  • To be responsible for own day to day administration
  • To contribute to the Organization’s quality assurance systems
  • To represent the Organization as required
  • To provide occasional cover at outreach locations and events
  • To deputies for the line manager and other staff as required
  • Input into all external communication e.g. social media, newsletters, surveys etc.
  • To attend and contribute to team and Board meetings, supervisions sessions, training and other meetings as required.
