Job Description

You will perform at an expert level in the following areas:

Business Needs Identification - Assess and define business needs and areas for improvement, proactively seek out opportunities to enhance and improve in line with strategic goals and propose solutions through research internally and externally.

Business Analysis Planning - Select the right analysis approach for a piece of work. Plan and manage your own and other team members activities to meet deliverables and deadlines. Ensure quality of analytical work delivered, both your own and the work of others.

Stakeholder Analysis & Change - Identify stakeholders, and actively build relationships according to individual stakeholder needs and levels of influence. Contribute to communication plans and change management.

Requirements Analysis and Design Definition - Deliver requirements management plans including elicitation, approvals, processes, risk, dependencies, scope impacts, traceability, testing and validation. Respond effectively to changing business priorities with ability to plan, accounting for potential changes and corrective actions. Lead the work with the business to identify functional and technical requirements, translating the requirements into design specifications reflecting Functional Design, User Interface Design and Business Process Design. Partner with the Platform, Architecture and Engineering teams, ensuring the technical solution will deliver the agreed business benefits.

Business Case Definition - Shape and define the business case, producing detailed business justification for investment including ROI (Return on Investment) and benefits realisation.

Solution Evaluation - Analyse and assess solution proposals, supplying clear supporting reasoning. i.e., assessing business readiness, maximising value vs. spend.


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Essential for the role

  • Experience of delivering data-related projects in support of pharma clinical trial planning, execution and analysis.
  • Experience of successfully deploying business analysis tools/techniques to enable business change
  • Practical usage of Agile Methodology, including capturing requirements as user stories and use of JIRA.
  • Experience of working with complex integrated systems, using creative and strategic thinking to deliver exceptional results
  • Strong engagement, communication and stakeholder management skills, including excellent presentation and influencing skills
  • Experience of working in a regulated environment (GxP)
  • Experience of virtual collaboration to lead, shape and develop innovative solutions
  • Experience of working with and managing third party suppliers/vendors

Desirable for the role

  • Degree in relevant discipline Formal certification in business analysis practice
  • Experience of working in a global organisation with complex/geographical context
  • Exposure to User Centred Design and Design thinking (User Experience, Prototyping, User Interface Design and Business Process Design)
