Job Description

An experienced secretary with excellent organizational skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure is required. The candidate will need a high level of accuracy and maintain confidentiality at all times whilst working to tight and changing deadlines.
The successful candidate will provide an efficient PA service and be able to demonstrate the ability to deal with the most senior officers and staff both and other Police Forces. Knowledge and experience of working with Microsoft Office applications is essential. A typing speed of 35 wpm is essential to the role.
You will be required to be flexible in the duties they perform and to support the Heads in two very busy branches and will be positive, have a ‘can do’ attitude and be keen to support the wider branch teams. You will be willing to learn about this area of the business and how they can help support what we do on a daily basis.
The role requires you to undertake a range of duties including: diary management; screening calls as necessary; administrative tasks; minute-taking; report preparation; administering meetings for a number of managers; arranging travel and accommodation; dealing with correspondence (including emails); administrative support to the two Senior Leadership Teams.
You will also act as a link with other parts of the Force for the two branches, coordinating and disseminating information to the branches and their teams.
