Job Description

We are looking for people who want a career in customer services, who have great communication and IT skills and want to join a friendly team as a Customer Service Advisor.

This role is a great opportunity for someone who has a genuine interest in people and making a real difference to our community. You will be the first point of contact for many vulnerable people living in our communities helping with a wide range of queries. You will need to demonstrate a high level of empathy and patience with our customers to ensure they feel supported in their interactions with our team.

It is essential that you are able to multi task and be confident using a variety of contact channels including voice, email, web chat, social media and correspondence. The role of the Customer Contact Advisor is to deliver consistent first-class customer service to our customers by demonstrating exceptional listening and problem- solving skills.

Experience is not necessary; however, you will need to be able to demonstrate strong communication skills with a good ability to resolve queries from business customers and the public, offering solutions to a wide variety of situations.

After a period of training & competent performance, the role will involve a combination of home and office working. A suitable home environment and broadband connection is therefore essential.

  • Strong communication, in particular verbal and effective writing skills
  • Excellent IT skills and confidence in using a range of computer systems
  • Warm and friendly, displaying a genuine interest in others
  • Patient and attentive listening to ensure customers wants and needs are support, whilst at the same time managing customer expectations
