Ensure a pleasant and friendly atmosphere within the Reception area, making sure it is a welcoming and comfortable place for people to visit and creates a consistently positive first impression.
Maintain a tidy appearance within the reception area at all times
Greeting all visitors to the College and providing refreshment for visitors as required
Answering telephone, communicating any messages and directing calls where appropriate
Ensuring all visitors sign in and are aware of safeguarding requirements while in the building
Direct persons to correct destination or relevant member of staff
Support Student Services by copying passports/visas and updating contact information
Deal with queries from students and where necessary, provide forms or direct to an appropriate member of staff or classroom
Deal with enquiries from the general public and prospective students, parents and agents
Receive, open and distribute mail
General administrative and clerical support, including the issue pay statements to college staff
Check and receipt deliveries
Ensure deliveries are moved by the operations team as quickly as possible
Co-ordinate and monitor the booking of meeting rooms within the college
Ensure the staff photo-board is up to date
Opening/closing the reception and ensuring the shutdown of all printers, computers and lighting within the reception
