Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and driven senior accountant to join and drive our consolidation project team. You will be responsible for implementing our new consolidation tool for the Fern Group, totaling 300 entities.

• Own the final leg of the internal implementation, the consolidation tool for fern group, working with the Finance team and the External consultant
• Assist the Fern Finance team to produce group consolidation and sub-consolidations for June year-end.
• Review and finalize set up requirements (CoA, movement types, Cash flow, SOCE, consolidation setup and eliminations etc.)
• Define data entry upload files (with assistance from an external consultant supporting implementation)
• Data migration - reconciliation of historical data. The accounting data source is Sun Systems and other smaller external systems (no auto-upload currently planned)
• Ensure data is mapped correctly and consistently across the group
• Test system outputs prior to Go Live (UAT - support end-user testing / parallel runs). Assist with data load and testing for 30th June (prior year end). Assist teams with loading Dec ’21/March ‘22 data with correct movement types, reconcile balances to source data
• Group Consolidation:
• Ensure system is setup up correctly, to follow the business structure
• Alongside FC, work to identify required consolidation postings in Tagetik
• Create process flow and framework of consolidation process for teams to follow
• Create a process for budget upload in Tagetik (budget to be delivered by individual finance teams)
• Create a system admin guide (documentation for BAU changes)
• Define and document new processes/policies for accounting for intergroup transactions post-implementation

• Needs to be able to listen, understand and collaborate across multiple levels in the organization
• Should have a bias to action - be able to deal with high volumes of work and multiple workstreams
• Progressive ideas, and resilience to implement them
• The team you will be working for are busy and diverse. To excel in this role, it is essential that you are proactive, keen to learn, focused, self-motivated, and able to work under deadlines., Experience in technical accounting and financial reporting
• Experience of Systems Implementation, preferably consolidation tools and/or an ERP system
• Proven track record of delivering results.
• The successful candidate will need to demonstrate good interpersonal skills and the ability to quickly build relationships within their team and across departments.
