Job Description
  • Supporting the production and delivery of financial and business plan
  • Supporting the preparation of the annual budget (capital and revenue)
  • Maintaining the financial ledger (transactions are handled by the finance assistant) including control accounts
  • Preparation of monthly monitoring reports for budget managers and the Board
  • Preparation and monitoring of cash flow levels and advising the Treasurer
  • Supporting the preparation of the annual accounts for independent review and filing
  • Supporting applications for grants
  • Providing costing information for specific projects

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Experience of bookkeeping
  • Experience of financial management and budgeting
  • Experience of Xero or other accounting computer software
  • Understanding of financial accounts and charity accounts
  • Experience of liaising effectively with external bodies (i.e. funders, partners, accountants, independent reviewers)
  • Understanding of equality and diversity
  • Well-organized and able to priorities own work, meet deadlines and manage workload in a busy environment.
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to use IT systems and packages, and electronic resources in the provision of advice and the preparation of reports and submissions.
