Your responsibilities will be in two areas: data entry and management, and administrative support. You will undertake data entry for research projects in line with established procedures, with accurate and timely entry, assist with the testing of study databases and set up of user accounts. You will also review data for accuracy and completeness and carry out other documented quality checks; contact site staff for further information and produce short reports/listing and routine data extracts, distributing as needed. You will also support the trial teams with administrative activities required for site set up and closure, as well as during the recruitment and follow up phases; and arrange meetings circulating documents and taking minutes, as well undertake other administrative tasks such as making up packs; ordering supplies and filing documents.
You will have a minimum of GCSE at grade C in Math and English (or equivalent) and a demonstrable ability to use information technology systems, in particular database systems, Microsoft Office packages, email and Internet. A high level of accuracy and attention to detail, effective organizational skills, and the ability to follow written instructions and data entry experience are all essential. You must have effective verbal and written communication skills, the ability to work with others to meet tight deadlines and the ability to priorities your own workload in the face of changing priorities. Knowledge of medical terminology, experience of working with confidential/sensitive data and experience of working in a research environment are desirable.
