Job Description

These roles will be responsible for developing multiple cost efficiency initiatives and managing those through execution to fulfilment. The role will need to cultivate key partnership with other stakeholders/ business partners particularly with, COOs/CFOs in the Business Divisions/Corporate Functions, Procurement and Expense SMEs

Key Roles & Responsibilities

  • Supply Management 
  • Holistic management and challenge of the supply costs of the expense line across the Firm e.g., contractor suppliers rate, working with Procurement to ensure best-practice & benchmarking across expense line
  • Implementing demand framework and governance across expense lines
  • Establishing chairing & participating in key expense cost committees
  • Providing transparency and accountability for expense line Targets and Actuals in partnership with the Businesses and Functions (via enhanced MI and expense scorecards etc)
  • Working in partnership with the Business Divisions and Functions to set targets across expense lines
  • Measurement and reporting of savings initiative impact, identifying key-metrics
  • Identifying and reporting on Investment and Run spend across the expense line
  • Rigorous review & development of policies and demand management
  • Expense lines are not fungible, Business and Functions will be performance tracked per account line
  • Development of identification, prioritization and delivery of expense line saving initiatives
  • Oversight of expense line relevant projects e.g. Spans and Layers, Workforce Strategy, BCE reviews, Professional Services 3rd party spend reviews

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

You will be a high performing individual with a demonstrated background delivering projects and experience of data analysis across multiple business lines and functions, either within consulting, a financial services project management role or a finance role. In particular, you will have the following skills and experience:

  • Proven experience in defining cost initiatives and program delivery across a financial institution
  • Effective at working with a variety of stakeholders/ business partners across Business Divisions and Functions to define and document potential cost saving initiatives
  • Confident in constructively challenging stakeholders/ business partners on assumptions or approach, and supporting decision making
  • Proven project management experience
  • Passion for team-work, execution excellence and process efficiency
  • Ability to prioritize and manage work well under pressure
  • Outstanding written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Dedication to fostering an inclusive culture and value diverse perspectives
