About Us

The Orders of St John Care Trust strive to be the leading care provider of the sector. To create an environment where people love to live and work. If we are the best at what we do, then the people living with us will have the best experience they could possibly expect to have and people that work with for us will have the best experience and be the most fulfilled that they could possibly hope to be. We’re a not for profit organization and a registered charity. The reason we exist is the simplest that it has ever been; vulnerable people need to be able to access good quality care, in a respectful and dignified way. Today, we now support and care for over 3,500 residents with a team of nearly 5,000 staff in some 70 care home and 14 Extra Care Housing schemes. We’re one of the largest not for profit care provider in the UK, specializing in providing high quality, person-centered care for older people, in care homes and extra care housing nationwide. At OSJCT we care about our residents and we care about each other. That means you’ll enjoy great career development working for an expanding organization. Because we’re a not for profit trust, we invest every penny we make in the people who live in our homes and the people who work here too. This means better quality care and lovely homes for our residents, along with competitive wages and great training and development for our people. We provide outstanding care, working closely with leading experts on dementia and elderly care. And we’re currently modernizing our portfolio of care homes – refurbishing our existing homes and moving into new, inspiring, contemporary care homes too. As we expand nationwide, we need more people with the right mix of skills, passion and ambition to help us grow even more. Grace Care Centre is a 51 bed Care Home located on the outskirts of the Historic town of Thornbury. The home offers compassionate and personalized 24-hour specialist dementia and residential care in a comfortable, homely setting. We’re rated 9.8 by Carehome.co.uk and Good by the Care Quality Commission. We have a deep commitment to quality and this is shown by our 2nd place in the national CQC compliance league table rating nearly 90% of our homes good or outstanding. This is a busy and varied role, so you’ll need to be efficient and organized and happy to use your initiative to ensure all tasks are completed in a timely manner. And as the first person who many of our visitors will speak to or see, you will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. If you think you have the right skills and attitude to deliver the highest quality of care for our residents as an Administrator within our care homes, then you could be next to join us. So, apply and get your career started with us today.
