People tend to think of sound as intangible. There one moment, gone the next, sound leaves no traces, and so its influence is often underestimated. At dBs, we see things differently. We always have. We started life in 1998 with the aim of changing the way audio technology education was taught. Since then, we’ve witnessed the power of sound to transform lives and unite communities. To move people, both physically and emotionally, and bring out the potential in the most unlikely of students. The way we see it *sorry* hear it, sound is a powerful force, and one that should be leveraged for good. We’ve built a dedicated community of students, alumni and staff upon this belief. Spread across our centres in Bristol and Plymouth, we are diverse in nature but all connected by one thing. dBs Institute is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The post is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure application to the Disclosure & Barring Service. dBs Institute is committed to promoting a culture of Diversity and Inclusivity for all our employees and potential employees. We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds. In recognition of our commitment, we would particularly encourage applications from groups who are currently under-represented, which are those from the Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic communities and People with Disabilities and Women.
