Company size 201 to 500 Industry Culture & Entertainment Link Waddesdon Manor website Waddesdon Manor was built by Baron Ferdinand de Rothschild between 1874 and 1885 to display his collection of arts and to entertain the fashionable world. Opened to the public in 1959, Waddesdon Manor is managed by the Rothschild Foundation, a family charitable trust, on behalf of the National Trust, who took over ownership in 1957. It’s home to the Rothschild Collections of paintings, sculpture and decorative arts. We are looking for an individual to join the Rothschild Foundation to provide administrative support for our Grants Team and Head office. The Rothschild Foundation continues the philanthropic tradition of the Rothschild family and their longstanding support of arts and heritage and the environment. Central to the Foundation’s vision is an ongoing commitment to Waddesdon Manor, one of the last remaining 19th century Rothschild houses. Waddesdon and its unique setting inspires our areas of interest which we explore and develop through grant-making, major projects, discussion and debate. Within Buckinghamshire, the Foundation’s Grants team supports the local third sector through grants for local communities and we are committed to being an approachable funder developing meaningful relationships with the organizations we fund. Beyond Buckinghamshire, the Foundation supports major projects which encourage engagement in the arts and various social welfare issues. Through our funding we are committed to making a difference across all communities. The Foundation also manages a variety of other projects, including an art collection, the care of the state rooms at Spencer House in London, and the Golden Mede housing development in Waddesdon village.
