You will be part of an essential business support function providing an accurate and efficient patient admissions service whilst ensuring the smooth running of the department and a high level of customer care. Murrayfield hospital was established as a purpose built hospital in 1984, conveniently located in the west of Edinburgh. In 2015 our consulting rooms had a £1 million refurbishment. In 2010 we opened Shawfair Park Hospital, a day case facility, based in south east Edinburgh. Each of our hospitals practice some of the most advanced treatments supported by the latest generation imaging and diagnostic technology. This means we offer everything from screening and rehabilitation through to leading edge surgical procedures and cancer care. • To be multi skilled in the use of in-house computer applications providing flexibility within the role and possess the ability to investigate and resolve customer enquiries. • To deal with enquiries from patients, insurance companies and consultants in a courteous, timely and efficient manner. This may be by face to face meetings, telephone or letter and will require precise recording of the communications. • To accurately maintain the departmental filing systems and carry out routine photocopying of required documentation. • To practice and maintain a high standard of confidentiality at all times and exercise absolute discretion in the use of all patient/consultant and staff information.
