About Us
The School of Optometry and Vision Sciences, based in Cathays, is a purpose-built facility; credited with being the only optometric training department in Wales and one of the largest in the UK. With an international reputation for its research and teaching activities, the School includes a number of award winning staff and students and is ranked number 3 in the UK for Optometry (Complete University Guide). There are just over 100 employees in our School, creating a welcoming and supportive culture with a strong sense of inclusivity and collegiality.
