Nottingham Community Housing Association (NCHA) is one of the largest locally based housing organisations in the East Midlands. Across the region we manage over 9,000 homes; house more than 15,000 tenants; provide over 1,500 bed spaces for people with support/care needs, in over 250 properties; and provide more than 950,000 hours of care and support each year. Providing “More homes, great services, better lives” is what we aim to achieve at NCHA. We can only achieve this through the dedication and talent of our amazing colleagues and you can be a part of our journey too as a Customer Service Advisor! Working in a busy reception and telephone contact centre function for housing, supported housing and head office functions you will be customer driven and enthusiastic when dealing with customers over the telephone or in person. Bring a warm smile and an exceptional attitude and you are half way there! 'The work is varied and you really know that you can make a difference' – current customer advisor. Demonstrable experience of working in a customer facing role with experience of diffusing and resolving difficult situations is essential for this post. We are Nottingham Community Housing Association (NCHA); one of the largest locally-based housing groups in the East Midlands. We manage over 9,200 homes and house more than 20,000 tenants across the East Midlands in Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Lincolnshire, Leicestershire, Northamptonshire and Rutland. We employ over 1,000 members of staff, and have a commitment to training and apprenticeships. We offer fantastic staff benefits. Our annual turnover is £69.2 million, and our properties are worth over £500 million. In 2013, we celebrated our 40th anniversary. At 44 years old, we are still going strong! We provide care and support across the East Midlands, with 734,000 hours of care provided in 2015/2016 for the most vulnerable people in society. Our work covers mental health, learning disabilities, domestic violence, Asian elders, vulnerable young people, homelessness, teenage parents and older persons, whether they need a place to live or support in their own homes. We’ve been developing new homes since 1973, and are working in partnership with 15 local authorities to build new affordable homes that meet local needs. This includes homes for sale, rent (at affordable rents, as well as market and intermediate levels), shared ownership, and ‘try before you buy’ schemes. Our Framework Delivery Agreements with the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA), for the years 2015-18 are to develop over 500 new homes through the Affordable Homes programme. We are a lead member of the Blue Skies Consortium, a group of 16 housing associations, and an investment partner directly with the HCA outside of the consortium for other programmes and initiatives. We conduct regular surveys with our tenants: 91% of them are satisfied with the service we provide [STAR survey 2015]. This puts us in the top quartile of housing associations for customer satisfaction. We are accredited by the Tenant Participation Advisory Service (TPAS).
